The Harvard Club of Chicago will be enjoying a conversation with White Sox Announcers Steve Stone and Jason Benetti and the Chicago White Sox v Cleveland Guardians game on September 21, 2022

The Harvard Club of Chicago has planned an exciting two-part event with the Chicago White Sox. A conversation with White Sox Announcers Steve Stone and Jason Benetti, will take place at 5:00p (room number to be provided at a later date), followed by the Guardians v White Sox Game at 7:10p. The HCC has purchased All You Can Eat & Drink Patio Passes with outfield reserved seats for the game.

Steve Stone - NBC Sports Chicago Analyst

Steve Stone begins his 15th season as a White Sox broadcaster and seventh with Jason Benetti. Steve agreed to a multiyear contract extension prior to the 2020 season. Steve was honored with the 2015 Ring Lardner Award for Excellence in Sports Journalism in the broadcast category at the Union League Club in Chicago on 5/4/15. He has provided color commentary on the White Sox Radio Network during the 2008 season alongside Ed Farmer, was a 2008 Ford C. Frick nominee and has spent 20 seasons (1983-2000 and 2003-04) in the Chicago Cubs broadcast booth working with Hall-of-Famer Harry Caray, and later, Caray’s grandson, Chip. Steve serves as an analyst for NBC Sports Chicago, appearing on a number of the network's shows.

Steve pitched in the majors from 1971-1981 for San Francisco (1971-72), the White Sox (1973, 1977-78), Cubs (1974-76) and Baltimore (1979-1981), going 107-93 with a 3.96 ERA in 320 games. Steve won the 1980 American League Cy Young Award.

Jason Benetti - NBC Sports Chicago Play-by-Play

Jason Benetti enters his seventh season as a member of the White Sox TV broadcast team, and his fourth as the club's full-time play-by-play voice alongside analyst Steve Stone. Jason ranked first in the Chicago Sun-Times second annual Chicago sports broadcast media power rankings, launched the White Sox podcast, "Sox Degrees," with radio play-by-play announcer, Len Kasper and was named the 2020 Illinois Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association in January. Jason helped create and oversees the popular broadcast segment "SoxMath". Jason was born with cerebral palsy (CP) and is part of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation’s ‘Just Say Hi’ campaign that launched in 2015. Jason is a 2005 graduate of Syracuse University (bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, economics and psychology), worked as an adjunct professor at Syracuse’s S.I. Newhouse School for Communications and earned a juris doctor from Wake Forest's School of Law in 2011

Jason is a Chicago-area native, and graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School and resides in Highland Park.
